Scrap Your Ass Off! Round 2

35 weeks ago, we started our very 1st round of Scrap Your Ass Off! at Paper Secrets. There were 58 who signed up & 35 weeks later, we are left with 7. These ladies are going strong & not giving up! They have completed 35 layouts in 35 weeks. The downside of this is that so many others are wishing for someone to win so they can get in on round 2. Well they can put their voo-doo tricks away. (#1 because it doesn't seem to be working & #2 because we are starting a round 2 anyway!) Team Member Nancy will be your hostess.

27 weeks ago, the 1st challenge was posted. Members who signed up to participate were given their 1st sketch with list of supplies to include on their page. There were 58 members who signed up & 27 weeks later, there are still 8 members still going! 27 layouts in 27 weeks!!!! I never expected them to last this long but am getting more & more excited as the weeks go by. Who is going to last the longest & how many layouts will they have completed at the end?! My name is Kim Jaster. I am a 33 year old elementary school teacher (4th grade) and artist. My content emphasis (kind of like a minor) in college was art. I do all kinds of different art including: painting, drawing, stained glass, photography, crafting, and even face painting. I paint faces at the local library/ church events dressed in costume! My name is Tina Connolly. I live in a semi-rural area just south of Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia, with my husband and two daughters (who of course feature on many of my pages).

I started, with an extremely basic form of scrapping, 10 years ago when my youngest daughter was born, re-discovered it a few years ago, and have been addicted ever since.

My inspiration comes from the photos, and the feelings that they envoke. My preferred genre is layouts, but I do enjoy cardmaking, OTP, stamping (mainly on layouts) and doing canvases. I love the creative process, and combining different techniques and textures.

My paper crafting style I would say is innovative, textured, and detailed. I have difficulty putting myself into one genre! I love shabby chic, but also do simple LOs, grungy LOs , and experimental/artsy layouts. It depends on the photos, time available, and where I'm scrapping (my layout tend to be simpler when I attend crops, because I can't take all my "stuff")

Using Border & Alphabet Stckers

I'd like to start by saying thank you to all our awesome members that have been diving right into our challenges. I am having alot of fun seeing all your creations & I thank you for sharing them with us.

Today I would like to share some more entries posted for our misting/stencil challenge. These products rarely get used with much creativity in my space, so it's been a great source of inspiration for me.

Kimmy created this layout with some mist & a background stencil. LOVE the houndstooth!

Jody came up with a really fun way to create her title.

I can't imagine how much fun Eli had creating this cluster of leaves. How cool huh?

And then Rochelle got all misty in pink on this beautiful layout.

All these projects make me want to just go crazy with a bottle of mist & a stencil!
